Rating Information Experience ratings are subjective guidelines for you to use to determine whether a ride falls within your motorcycling experience level. The ratings are based on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being for beginning riders and 10 being for experienced riders. The more spinning icons, the more difficult the ride. Examples:
The criteria used to determine the experience ratings are listed below the ratings and include factors such as ride length, weather, road conditions, traffic, etc. As stated, the ratings are subjective guidelines... actual rides may be easier or more difficult than their ratings indicate. Most riders can estimate their current level of skill. Although the ratings do not prohibit you from participating in a ride, realize that if you're a beginning rider and you go on a ride with a rating of 9, you'll be riding with experienced riders who most likely will not change their ride to accommodate your skill level.
